- Introducing MPP payments on Boundless: let your agent buy its own inference Today, Boundless becomes the first inference provider on Tempo to accept MPP directly. Any agent with a Tempo wallet can now call our open models and pay for each request from its own wallet, with no account or API key. MPP is the open standard for machine payments, co-authored by Stripe and Tempo. Your agent pays the same per-token prices as the Boundless API, billed in real time for the tokens it used, and it's open to any wallet starting today. Get started here. Agents need their own way to pay Giving an agent access to a model still starts with a person: an account, a card, and an API key pasted into every agent's config. That setup works for one agent and breaks down once agents spin up on demand, run many subagents in parallel, or act for people who never signed up with the provider. With MPP, the agent pays for itself. Boundless names the price in the HTTP response, and the agent pays from its wallet and carries on, with no person in the loop. From wallet to inference in three steps Fund a Tempo wallet with MACH, Tempo's onchain credit for payments, or with a stablecoin such as USDC.e. Point your agent at the Boundless OpenAI-compatible endpoint through an MPP client. The setup prompt at the end of this post installs one for you. Boundless replies with the price, your agent pays from the wallet, and the response arrives with a receipt. Pay only for what runs A card charge moves money one way and settles later. An MPP session moves money in both directions. Your agent opens the session with a small deposit, each request is charged for the tokens the model actually used, a failed request is refunded, and whatever your agent doesn't spend returns to the wallet when the session closes. Built for swarms One wallet can fund many agents. Nanocode, the open-source agent SDK from Georgios Konstantopoulos at Paradigm, gives each agent running at the same time its own payment channel on a shared wallet, so you can see exactly what each agent spent. Boundless built and tested the integration with Nanocode, and the Boundless team is grateful to work with Georgios on this launch. Leading open models, one wallet away Your agent can pay for the leading open models from Moonshot, Z.ai, DeepSeek, MiniMax and Qwen at the same per-token prices as the Boundless API.
