A Private RPC for Public Blockchains
Researchers introduce write-public ORAM, a new oblivious RAM design for private blockchain RPC queries that hides user activity and addresses from RPC providers. Current RPC servers can track user identities, IP addresses, and linked accounts through queries, despite stated privacy policies with no enforcement mechanism. Prior approaches like PIR are impractical for large blockchain databases, while TEEs with external storage leak access patterns; the new method combines TEE with ORAM to hide query patterns.
