Argentina drops criminal probe into President Milei over crashed memecoin LIBRA

Argentine federal judge dismissed criminal case against President Javier Milei over his promotion of LIBRA memecoin that crashed in February 2025, losing over 90% of value and destroying $250 million in investor wealth. Judge found Milei's social media endorsement insufficient to establish fraud without evidence of specific deception, and found no evidence of bribery or proceeds reaching public officials.
