Bank of England opened consultation on accepting digital tokenized collateral in clearing systems, clarifying existing rules allow it when assets meet standards. Tokenized collateral must remain capable of being valued, transferred and realized in stressed conditions; faster cross-jurisdiction movement could help firms meet margin calls.
