Binance announces CFO Kaiser Ng's departure days after record US$6.3 billion crypto theft

Binance said CFO Kaiser Ng is leaving to pursue a new venture after more than five years at the company, with a transition plan implemented over the last half year. Justin Yek, most recently vice-president of finance at Airwallex, is taking over as CFO. The departure comes just over a week after a US$6.3 billion crypto theft from the platform, which Binance said began with malware and fake job recruitment targeting engineers; the FBI has blamed a North Korean hacking group, which Pyongyang denies.
