Binance CFO Kaiser Ng steps down after record crypto theft

Binance CFO Kaiser Ng is leaving to pursue a new venture after more than five years at the exchange, with a transition plan implemented over the last half year. Justin Yek, most recently vice-president of finance at Airwallex, is taking over as CFO. The departure comes days after hackers stole US$6.3 billion from Binance in a record heist that began with malware and fake job recruitment targeting engineers; Binance says it will fully reimburse affected customers, and the FBI has blamed a North Korean group, which Pyongyang denies.
