Binance founder says exchange targeted in apparent hack

Binance founder CZ said the exchange was hacked with potential losses exceeding $1bn, though he stated user funds are safe. Tether froze $1.547bn of USDT and Circle froze $800mn of USDC in response to the reported exploit. Bitcoin fell 3.2% to $78,623 and BNB dropped 7.5% following the news.
