Binance hackers begin swapping stolen Solana tokens for Bitcoin: Chainalysis
Hackers from the $6.3 billion Binance theft are converting stolen Solana tokens into Bitcoin through Relay, moving 486,970 SOL tokens worth $46.4 million. About $3 billion in stolen assets were frozen by Tether and Circle, while attackers still control approximately $3.5 billion; the FBI attributed the theft to North Korea's TraderTraitor group. Chainalysis reports hackers are using automation and repeated wallet transfers to obscure the trail, with some funds reaching centralized exchange Gate before being frozen.
