Binance, Polymarket seek Polygon hard fork to recover $6.8M in stolen crypto

Binance and Polymarket proposed a Polygon hard fork to recover approximately 70.49 million POL tokens ($6.8M) stolen in separate security incidents. The recovery would cover 23.86 million POL ($2.31M) from Polymarket hack and 46.63 million POL ($4.51M) from Binance hack across five attacker-controlled addresses. The hard fork requires governance approval and testnet testing, scheduled for discussion on Nov. 5, with no confirmed mainnet activation date.
