Binance says fake job interviews and internal AI tool used in $6.3bn heist

Binance disclosed that a $6.3 billion breach involved fake job interviews and a compromised internal AI tool used to gain access to engineer accounts. Attackers exploited a compromised engineer's computer and used the AI tool to control wallets of two other engineers as a springboard for the October 20 attack. The FBI attributed the attack to TraderTraitor, a North Korean state-sponsored hacking unit, which has been converting stolen assets to ether.
