Binance says it holds $5B in matching tokens to cover hack losses

Binance confirmed a $6.3 billion hack, the largest cryptocurrency theft on record, with funds drained across 10 blockchains on Thursday. The exchange set aside $6.34 billion in company funds to cover losses, with $5 billion already held in the same tokens that were stolen. About $3 billion in affected assets have been frozen with help from blockchain partners; TRM Labs attributed the attack to North Korean hacking group TraderTraitor.
