Binance users in some European countries told to pull crypto before fees kick in, with accounts closing by year end

Binance is emailing users in some European countries to withdraw their crypto before a monthly fee of 0.025% of balance (or 10 USDC, whichever is higher) starts on Nov. 29, with accounts closing effective Dec. 31, 2026. Deposits are blocked for affected accounts, while withdrawals of crypto and fiat remain possible; Binance says there is no sudden freeze. Binance has no MiCA license in the EU after withdrawing its Greek application in June and says it expects to secure one in the coming months.
