Binance's $6.3bn heist is the biggest . . . but not the first

Binance suffered a record $6.3bn cryptocurrency theft, forcing suspension of all deposits and withdrawals. The heist is the largest in crypto industry history, surpassing previous major thefts including a $1.5bn Bybit hack in February 2025 attributed to North Korean hackers by the FBI.
