Blockchain investigator Chainalysis hit by cybersecurity incident

Chainalysis, a blockchain analytics company, experienced a cybersecurity incident with some non-sensitive customer data exposed, but found no evidence of unauthorized access to investigation content, credentials, or session tokens. The company engaged third-party cybersecurity experts and is using large language models to review security and strengthen defenses. Chainalysis reported that suspected North Korea-linked hacks accounted for almost 89% of reported crypto hack losses this year, up from 15% in 2021.
