Coinbase adds Ripple's stablecoin to its exchange

Coinbase is adding Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD to its platform starting Wednesday, available on both retail and institutional services. RLUSD, launched by Ripple in December 2024 for cross-border payments, has a market cap of over $2.5 billion according to CoinGecko. Coinbase has expanded its stablecoin offerings beyond Circle's USDC to include PayPal's PYUSD and Open USD, with RLUSD as the latest addition.
