Coinbase Customer Data Hit in Analytics Vendor Breach, Funds ‘Not Impacted’

Coinbase says a security incident at third-party analytics vendor Amplitude exposed contact data for a small subset of its customers, but Coinbase systems were not breached and customer funds were not impacted. Coinbase did not disclose the number of affected customers, types of data exposed, or timing of the incident. This follows a more serious May 2025 breach where cybercriminals bribed support agents and stole data from 69,461 customers including names, addresses, and government ID images.
