Coinbase Tells European Users to Withdraw Non Compliant Stablecoins

Coinbase is requiring European users to withdraw or convert non-compliant stablecoins including USDT, PYUSD, GUSD, and DAI by October 30, 2026, due to MiCA regulations. Stablecoins that don't meet Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation requirements will no longer be supported; remaining balances will be automatically converted to USDC or other supported assets. Tether declined MiCA approval citing reserve requirements and EU bank deposit risks, while Paxos lacks a European partner for compliance.
