Crypto.com to withdraw Hong Kong consumer app citing regulatory changes

Crypto.com will shut down its Hong Kong consumer app on Feb. 1, 2027, citing regulatory changes. The company's institutional exchange entity remains in 'deemed-to-be-licensed' transitional status since submitting its VATP license application in Feb. 2024. Crypto.com will continue pursuing regulatory approval for its institutional Crypto.com Exchange platform.
