Crypto exchange HTX barred from promoting services in UK

Britain's FCA secured a court-backed agreement with crypto exchange HTX barring it from promoting services to UK customers. HTX, formerly Huobi and one of the world's largest crypto platforms, was sued by the FCA in October 2025 for alleged illegal UK promotions. The FCA said HTX will exit Britain and not target UK consumers, sending a message to other overseas crypto firms that being based overseas does not exempt them from UK law.
