Cryptocurrency fraudster stole £250k for luxury lifestyle

Faisa Ali defrauded 23 victims out of thousands of pounds through a fake cryptocurrency investment scheme from 2021 to 2023, making false guarantees about investor protection. Ali spent nearly £250,000 on luxury goods including jewellery (£76,140), travel (£40,845), home improvements (£65,183), vehicles (£41,625), and takeaway food (£24,030). The 34-year-old was sentenced to three years suspended imprisonment and 300 hours unpaid work; one victim lost over £40,000.
