CZ warns of more AI-driven hacks following Binance's historic $6.4 billion heist

Binance founder CZ warned that AI could enable more cyberattacks against crypto exchanges and banks, following a $6.4 billion theft from Binance attributed to North Korea's TraderTraitor group on Oct. 29. CZ stated the industry must use AI to defend against AI-driven hacks, noting attackers gain access to AI capabilities faster than institutions can deploy defenses. Blockchain analytics firm Elliptic found no evidence AI was used in the laundering of stolen funds, which appeared to follow automated scripts instead.
