Decentralized Exchanges Seek Exemption From Illinois Crypto Tax

The DeFi Education Fund is requesting that Illinois exempt decentralized exchanges from tax collection duties under the state's new Digital Asset Tax Act. The group argues that DEXs should not be classified as digital asset brokers in the proposed tax rules. Andreessen Horowitz and Uniswap Labs are also involved in the effort.
