Democrats Now Have The Power To Rewrite Crypto Rules

Democrats will control Congress in January and have an opening to reshape U.S. crypto policy, while seven of 10 SEC and CFTC seats are vacant and remaining commissioners are all Republicans. Congress has not passed a law dividing crypto oversight between the SEC and CFTC, and Democrats have not released their own bill text. Former Rep. Patrick McHenry criticized the crypto industry for holding out for a perfect bill and ending up with no market structure legislation.
