FBI blames North Korea for stealing $6.3B from Binance in biggest crypto heist in history

FBI attributed a $6.3 billion theft from Binance to North Korean hackers known as TraderTraitor, the same group behind a $1.5 billion Bybit hack last year. The stolen assets are being converted primarily into Ethereum, with hackers expected to use DeFi and instant swap services to launder the funds. Binance said it has sufficient reserves to cover 90% of the stolen assets and promised full customer reimbursement.
