FBI blames North Korea for US$6.34b Binance crypto heist

FBI confirmed North Korea's TraderTraitor group stole over $6.34 billion from Binance on October 29, 2026, in what is believed to be the largest crypto heist ever. Binance said it will cover losses using company funds, having replenished 90% of stolen tokens with the remaining 10% expected to take longer to source. Bitcoin fell nearly 5%, Ethereum dropped nearly 6%, and BNB tumbled nearly 10% following news of the hack.
