France postpones 2027 budget vote, crypto exit-tax proposals scrapped
France's National Assembly postponed the 2027 budget vote to Tuesday, with 758 amendments still pending examination and a Nov. 17 deadline for first-reading completion. The Assembly rejected two proposals Friday that would have applied exit taxes to unrealized crypto gains when taxpayers moved their tax residence abroad, with votes of 27-55-1 and 31-60 respectively. Other crypto proposals remain under debate, including reporting requirements for self-custodied holdings over 100,000 euros and tax exemptions for crypto payments under 1,000 euros annually.
