Injective Launches the Super Intelligence Compute Index, Putting the Price of AI Compute Onchain

Injective launched the Super Intelligence Compute Index (SICI), an onchain benchmark tracking rental costs of five Nvidia GPUs with a perpetual market tradable at up to 10x leverage. SICI tracks hourly rental prices of H100, B200, H200, A100, and RTX 4090 GPUs at fixed weights, enabling traders to take positions on AI compute prices. The index addresses underdeveloped financial markets for GPU compute, allowing AI developers and infrastructure providers to hedge exposure as electricity consumption at AI data centers surged 50% in 2025.
