Introducing GPT-6.1 Terra

OpenAI introduced GPT-6.1 Terra, a new AI model offering 50% lower API prices than GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol while improving visual reasoning and computer use capabilities. On multiple benchmarks (Agents' Last Exam, MMMU-Pro, OSWorld 2.1), GPT-6.1 Terra outperforms its predecessor at significantly lower cost and is 3x faster than competing models. The model shows major improvements in factuality (error rate dropped from 53.6% to 16.7% at low reasoning effort) and coding tasks (solving 50.3% of Terminal-Bench 4.0 problems vs 21.5% for GPT-5.6 Terra).
