North Korean hackers steal $6.3B from Binance in 'largest bank heist in human history'

North Korean hackers stole $6.3 billion from Binance in what an insider called 'the largest bank heist in human history,' with about $3 billion frozen so far. TRM Labs and Chainalysis attributed the attack to TraderTraitor, North Korea's elite hacking unit, with approximately $6.36 billion moved out of Binance wallets across ten blockchains in about 20 minutes. Binance suspended withdrawals temporarily and said it would cover all losses using its $1 billion bitcoin reserve fund and company funds.
