Qeshm island and Hormuz hit, as mediators try to prevent US-Iran escalation

US strikes on Iran have continued after more vessels were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, with two projectiles hitting Qeshm island on Friday night. Iran's army said it destroyed a US-made MQ-9 drone, and the IRGC claimed it intercepted an MQ-1. UKMTO reported at least 11 ships attacked in and around the Strait of Hormuz in the week ending November 6, three of which sank, and transits were about 65 percent below pre-conflict levels.
