Senior DPRK official slams U.S. for defamation over Binance heist

A senior DPRK official condemned the U.S. for linking a Binance cryptocurrency heist involving billions of dollars to a hacking group allegedly supported by North Korea. Kim Yo Jong called the U.S. claim an attempt to portray the DPRK as a 'cyber criminal state' and said it constitutes a political provocation and violation of sovereignty. Binance reported Friday that hackers stole more than $6 billion in what is believed to be the largest cryptocurrency heist on record.
