Solana bug reports now cost 1 SOL as AI floods security teams with spam

Solana's Firedancer software team now charges 1 SOL (~$100) per bug report submission, with tokens burned permanently, to reduce AI-generated spam that flooded a recent audit competition with 809 mostly duplicate reports. A $1 million audit competition in April-May produced 127 unique findings from 809 submissions, with nearly half being duplicates and AI agents suspected in nearly every report. Jump Crypto is doubling standard rewards through November 20 and tripling payouts for Alpenglow voting system bugs (up to $300,000 for critical findings) to incentivize quality submissions.
