Tether holds 150,000 bitcoin worth $11.5 billion, CEO Paolo Ardoino says

Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino announced the company holds approximately 150,000 bitcoin worth $11.5 billion, about 50,000 more than shown in its latest reserve report. Tether's third-quarter reserve report listed only 100,060 BTC valued at $8.37 billion; the additional holdings likely come from proprietary investments kept separate from USDT reserves. Tether's excess reserves grew to $7.95 billion from $4.11 billion in June, and the company has committed to allocating up to 15% of net profits to bitcoin purchases.
