Texas brothers sentenced to 15 years for holding Minnesota family at gunpoint in $8 million crypto heist

Two Texas brothers, Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia, were sentenced to 15 and 15.5 years respectively for an armed robbery of a Minnesota family in September 2025. The brothers held the family at gunpoint for nine hours and forced them to transfer $8 million in cryptocurrency to wallets they controlled. They were tracked down through a Wendy's receipt, motel surveillance, and rental car records, then apprehended at their home in Waller, Texas.
