U.S. Treasury sanctioned 10 individuals and one entity for roles in North Korean IT worker schemes that defraud U.S. businesses and generate revenue for weapons programs. Russian nationals Vitold Obertas and Ilya Boykov converted nearly $2 million and $3.5 million in crypto respectively for North Korean officials since 2024-2025.
