Trezor reports suspected hardware implant in Safe 5 sold by CryptoBilis

Trezor received a report of a suspected hardware implant in a Safe 5 device sold by reseller CryptoBilis, consisting of a circuit board with cellular module that could intercept wallet recovery phrases. Trezor has not examined the device but treats the report as credible and urges customers who purchased from CryptoBilis since March 2026 to move their funds immediately. CryptoBilis was removed from Trezor's authorized reseller network this month following similar tampering reports with Ledger devices; Ledger losses were estimated at over $86 million.
