Trezor warns CryptoBilis buyers to move funds over suspected implant

Trezor warned customers who bought hardware wallets from reseller CryptoBilis since March to move funds after a report of a suspected unauthorized circuit board implant in a Safe 5 device purchased in Indonesia. The suspected implant could capture wallet recovery phrases and transmit them over cellular network; Trezor has not examined the device and received no reports of losses yet. Similar tampering was previously reported in Ledger wallets sold through CryptoBilis, and Trezor acknowledged existing security safeguards like seals and packaging are insufficient.
