Harris Poll survey finds 74% of online daters suspect they've matched with fake profiles, with 57% citing fake/deceptive profiles as a major problem. 81% of singles would be more likely to use dating apps if all profiles were verified as real people; 70% prefer matching with average-looking verified users over attractive unverified ones. World ID technology enables users to prove they are real humans without sharing personal data; Tinder has already adopted it in Japan and the U.S. with a verification badge system.
