U.S. Justice Department assembles force to shield against foreign AI threats

The U.S. Department of Justice formed a new Super Intelligence Task Force to defend against illicit use of artificial intelligence threatening U.S. interests. Attorney General Todd Blanche stated the DOJ will identify and prosecute individuals whose AI use violates the law, including those targeting American taxpayers, critical infrastructure, or national security. The Trump administration is amplifying focus on AI policy while crypto policy work has seemingly diminished, with the crypto legislative office now vacant.
