UAE's crypto economy surges despite regional war and could overtake Türkiye in 2027

UAE's crypto economy grew 32% to $104.8 billion in the year to June 2026, according to Chainalysis, putting it at 73% of Türkiye's market size. On current trajectories, the UAE is projected to overtake Türkiye as the largest crypto market in Mena by 2027. A security breach at Binance resulted in an estimated $6.3 billion impact, the largest crypto heist ever, with about $3 billion frozen so far.
