UK banks face 10,000 complaints in 3 months over crypto restrictions

Over 10,000 complaints about UK bank restrictions on crypto purchases were filed between May and August, covering all 650 parliamentary constituencies. Lloyds Banking Group received the most complaints (2,297), followed by Barclays (1,569) and NatWest (1,278), despite some banks having no published crypto restrictions. Research indicates 40% of transfers to FCA-registered crypto exchanges were blocked or delayed in the preceding 12 months, with 70% of exchanges reporting more hostile banking conditions than a year prior.
