XRP Ledger set to fix flaw that could let stablecoin partners print new tokens

XRP Ledger is fixing a security flaw that allowed accounts authorized only to destroy tokens to create new ones instead, affecting stablecoins and other issued tokens on the network. The fixCleanup3_4_0 update has support from 33 of 35 trusted validators and is scheduled to activate around Nov. 4 UTC, after a brief dip in support on Oct. 21 delayed it from Oct. 23. The fix also corrects calculations for token recovery from trading pools and vault deposits/withdrawals, while separate lending and vault amendments still need more validator support to proceed.
