Zcash co-founder calls to stop funding 'over $125M' grants program

Zcash co-founder Sean Bowe proposed ending automatic funding to Zcash Community Grants (ZCG), which holds over $125M in treasury. Bowe's draft proposal would redirect ZCG's 8% share of ZEC block subsidy to the Network Sustainability Mechanism until 2028, leaving existing funds untouched. ZCG currently holds 91,453 ZEC ($111M) and $8.8M in cash, with a separate development fund holding $89M in ZEC.
